Moogfest drops second round of artists including Moby, The Antlers, Dan Deacon

Moby is among the 11 new artists added to
Asheville's Moogfest held October 28-30
In it's second year, Moogfest seems to be pulling out all of the stops to be viewed as the premier North Carolina music festival this year especially after this awesome second batch of bands has been released.  It was announced this morning that Moby, Amon Tobin, Dan Deacon, The Antlers, and much more will be joining the already stellar lineup on October 28-30 this year.  Headliners for Moogfest are The Flaming Lips, Passion Pit, STS9 and there's still another batch of around twenty artists to be released after these eleven excellent bands have been added.

Moogfest is spread throughout downtown Asheville, NC and it's venues include Asheville Civic Center Arena, the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, and the Orange Peel.  Asheville has a booming scene that doesn't get as much notice as the Carolina hot-bed of the Triangle, but with events like Moogfest the western part of the state is picking up a lot of steam.

Moogfest tickets are on sale now with prices starting at $149.50.  Pick up these tickets while you can because once the first set sells out the price takes a $40 jump up to $189.50 and the last batch costs $199.50.  For more information on Moogfest or to purchase tickets you can check out Moogfest's website at http://www.moogfest.com
