The Pinhook aims to renovate with Kickstarter project

The Pinhook recently started up a Kickstarter project in an attempt to renovate the already excellent space to provide for a much greater sound quality from the venue.  The Pinhook is one of the highlights of Durham's local scene, having housed excellent local and national acts in the first three years of it's existence.  Opened in November of 2008, The Pinhook is aiming to raise $15,000 before November 2 so that they can build a new sound-proof stage, design a new room with the help of John Koelle (engineered Kings and the fantastic Haw River Ballroom), and to purchase new equipment.

Essentially, The Pinhook is looking to increase every aspect of their venue so that these already incredible shows can become even better.  In celebration of their three year anniversary The Pinhook is hosting incredible acts on their anniversary weekend such as Crystal Antlers w/ Old Bricks (Friday, November 4) and Javelin w/ Organos (Saturday, November 5).  The Pinhook regularly provides an outlet for talented local musicians to have their voices heard and as one of the premier venues in the Triangle, The Pinhook could certainly use your help and contributions.  With two weeks left in the Kickstarter project and just under $10,000 to go, rewards for donations include everything from free entrance to a show for you and a friend, Pinhook t-shirts, a personal song from Kym and Liz, and much more.  For more information on The Pinhook's Kickstarter you can check it out at the above link.  You can support your local music scene and get to directly reap the benefits, what more is there to ask for?!
